SKR Rebel Racing Updates and Activities
In this space we will try to keep you updated on our Team's efforts and results!
Back From The Hospital: September 9, 2007

Well... The good news is nothing (except my Kart) is broken. A few compressed vertebre and "major full-body contusions," as the Doc stated acoording to the tests and x-rays. Two shots of Morphine and One shot of Dilauded at least let me get some sleep this afternoon. I think it was the shortest visit to the E.R. I have ever had. We were only there for 8 hours!

Seriously though... I want to thank all of the members of the team and my fellow racers for checking in on me today. The majority of the team came to the Hospital and I was very touched by their concern. I knew that this team we are building was going to be something special. It truly is. One of our missions is to give those, who have a strong desire to race and to become a part of a true team atmosphere, a chance to become a part of just such an organization. I feel that we are reaching that goal.

I especially want to thank our Team Owner, Kristen Ritchie, as well as the Team Statistician Eva Collier for their care and concern. I also want to thank the other members of the crew who did the loading up and clean-up of the pits following the race yeaterday. I own you all big-time! What a fantastic team to be a member of!

A very special thanks is reserved for two of our sponsors. If it were not for the fact that I was wearing my ZoomBang Rib Protection Shirt and the Ribtect 2 Rib Proctection Vest... I am certain that my racing season would be over and that my injuries would be much more severe than "major contusions." THANK YOU RIBTECT! THANK YOU ZOOMBANG!

I will try to keep this blog updated over the next two weeks before our next race. It is my firm hope that the Kart can be repaired and that we will be back to continue on our path to the top 10 in the point standings. Although I may be sore for a few weeks, I have every intention of racing in the next race. I already have worked to over-come many disabilities in the past and I am not about to let "contusions" from stopping me from attempting to complete the team's goals.

We still have a bit of work to do on the web-site but it is nearly finished. We will keep you updated on our progress. Thanks, again, for stopping by. Remember to bookmark this site and check back often!
